LACMA Gala: Who Wore Gucci Best?

Chloe Sevigny : she is such a cool chick but sometimes her choices are not quite right. Having said that, the Gucci gown she chose works. Kind of. Wouldn't be my first choice for her but I'll give Ms. Sevigny an honorable mention.
Dakota Johnson: gorgeous unusual color and it suits her. The style as well. Tempted to say she wore it best. I just did. She wore Gucci best.
Cameron Diaz: No. Reason: the shoes are horrid and ruin everything. I can understand Ms. Diaz' desire to show off the pins but that can be done with classier shoes.

Reason for the celebrity turnout (via the Los Angeles Times)

"The Los Angeles County Museum of Art hosted its star-studded Art + Film Gala on Saturday night. But with so many designers and creatively dressed in attendance, it may be time to start calling it the Art+Film+Fashion Gala. The event honored artist James Turrell and Academy Award–winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu. Cochaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, it raised more than $4 million for LACMA’s film initiatives and future exhibitions, acquisitions and programming. Gucci sponsored the evening, and it was the biggest celebrity-dressing initiative yet for the fashion house under the direction of new creative director Alessandro Michele, who served as gala host committee chair."

So, we saw a lot of Gucci and we are rating who wore it best ie who is a true Gucci Girl..

Selma Hayek with Usher: Um. No. She's married to the head of the house of Gucci but no. She is not a Gucci girl. And since Gucci women don't really exist, I'm sticking to no. We do love Ms. Hayek and are constantly on the lookout for a suitable designer. We'll let you know when we've found one.
Rosie  Huntington-Whiteley:Victoria's Secret girl wears Gucci. I just don't see the Gucci girl as sex kittenish. I see her as odd, goofball, and not overtly sexy, so no. Don't like the dress, don't like it on Ms. Huntington-Whitely.The hair is hohum and this gown doesn't bridge the gap well, the gap between sexy and demure.
Saoirse Ronan: I will give Ms. Ronan second place after Ms. Johnson. Lovely.

Gwyneth Paltrow: oh god no. The dress is cute. The shoes are cute but no. I just can't.
