last word on the emmys red carpet show down

She can do better. We are sick to death of the fish tail gowns, mermaid looks, whatever you want to call these dreadfully dull robes. When we think about all the lovely edgy dresses out there, we sigh in disappointment. We love Ms. Curtis but we do not love the dullness of this gown.

Bravo Ms. Falco. The hair is rather horrid but we find your gown delightful.

Kerry Washington in off-the-runway Marc Jacob. Personally, we feel that's the only thing this has going for it. Just because its not a prom dress, does not give this dress automatic awesome.

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie. No.

Taraji P. Henson in her custom Alexander Wang. Yes. Nice. Great hair. All in all: well done girl.

Laverne Cox in Calvin Klein. Dull. She always looks fabulous but the look and body con gowns have been rather hohum.

Amy Poehler: you either have red carpet hair and just suck it up with all the goods or you wear jeans and a t-shirt, biker jacket and shades if you don't want to bother with a 'do.  Having said that, we're pretty sure better hair would not have improved the exclamation mark gown.

She's a little girl so no bad critique from moi.

Claire Danes in Prada. After Mindy Kaling's juicy apricot colored gown, this plum purple is divine. But whats up with the hair?

Naomi Watts in Dior. Not your look girl. Too long. The length ruins everything.

Jessica Paré in pink. Good enough.
