movies to add to your autumn watchlist

Still Life came out in 2013 and may have already come and went to a theatre near you. By all accounts, despite my strong advocacy of watching movies in theaters, this gem of a film will work its magic from your home screen as well. Movie magic comes on along quietly.

We can never have too many interpretations of the classic tales of love, morality and downfall. This Madame Bovary looks absolutely delicious, starring Mia Wasikowska, Rhys Ifans, Paul Giamatti, Laura Carmichael. Coming in October to a theater near you. This movie definitely improves on the big screen.

Suffragette will remind us or inform us (since I have never personally given the Suffragette movement any thought whatsoever) of the battle women faced, how dangerous it was and even though we've come a long way, we're not quite there yet. Stellar cast includes Helena Bonham-Carter, Meryl Streep and Carey Mulligan. Again, a film best consumed at the theater for the forceful impact this topic deserves.
