skirting the issue part deux: mix, don't match

jacket Zadig & Voltaire, jacquard sweater Hugo Boss, necklace Mawi, skirt Derek Lam, shoes Paul &Joe
Take three skirts, three jackets, three tops: toss about randomly, then wear (one of each darlings..obviously) In other words: mix, don't  match. Perfect for anyone who loves lying in bed until the last minute. The mustard yellow Derek Lam skirt is absolutely fabulous.

jacket Claudie Pierlot, jeans shirt Ikks, silk brocade skirt Dsquared2, shades Jimmy Fairly, bag Ralph Lauren
A short less puffy version of bomber jackets are back and the waists on skirts have risen this season. Good if you have a waist. (If you don't, don't despair. Carry on wearing/buying low rises - they will always be available) Among the comeback kids are jeans shirts. If you kept yours from the 80's, you're a star, if not, worth investing in and keeping until you are 80. All ladies look fab in denim.

Left: sweater Alexander Wang, skirt Sinequanone, bag Louis Vuitton  Right: top Celine, skirt Socquettes, bag Bally

This season it's about mixing not matching: strong contrary patterns and textures love each other. We love them too.
