To Rome with Love: Penelope Cruz: what she wore and what she should have worn

Penelope Cruz in Emilio Pucci at the premiere of her latest movie
We love Penelope Cruz so we want to say something nice: Her legs look smooth and tanned i.e. sexy and we are liking the hair as it's not the usual generic wavy do 90% of females sport in anticipation of a near-by camera (so dull). We also like the dark nails. That's all.

As is too often the case with Ms. Cruz,  her stylist seems to think she is tinnier than she is: the dress by Emilio Pucci is too small. Plum is a lovely color but is not enough for an even five-star rating. By no means awful, we do think she could do so much better.

We have two suggestions for Ms. Cruz.

Talbot Runhof Spring Summer 2012
Try this dress. We think your sultriness and Spanish temperament can pull off this Talbot Runhof creation wonderfully well. The decolltée will flatter you and while the skirt reminds us of a bottle brush, we think you could pull it off.

Christian Dior Spring Summer 2012
If you prefer something more classical, this would work for you as well: deep decolltee to elongate the neck, with the dropped waist flowing into a fluid skirt. We think you'd look quite fabulous in this. Olé!
