wish list Oscars 2012: dream dressing the stars

Chanel fall winter 2011 RTW
Now I do realize the Oscars take place in Los Angeles, hence the need for a cape: not so much (although I can attest to chilly evenings at times) Still, I'd love to see some actress wear this. I know Helena Bonham Carter would. Isn't there anyone else brave enough?

Elie Saab Spring Summer 2012
Nominated for best actress for "The Help", Viola Davis would look lovely in tangerine and the style is flattering as well. The slit may be a bit risque for Oscar night, but I'm sure that could be altered.

Valentino Couture Fall Winter 2011
Rooney Mara is the type who can wear anything she likes really but wouldn't Lisbeth Salander wear this Valentino Couture gown to the Oscars? Okay, she probably wouldn't consider going. But if she did, I'd recommend this black velvet dress.

Gianfranco Ferre Fall Winter 2011
Tilda Swinton, Cate Blanchet (sans frumpy hair please), Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet (since she's gone blond) or Heidi Klum would look quite glamorous in this Gianfranco Ferré creation, me thinks; provided they get a size that actually fits. For some reason, way too many celebrities are squeezed into ridiculously small sizes. They are all skinny anyways. Wearing a too tight anything just makes you look awkward and uncomfortable.

That's all. Now let's wait and see what comes up on the red carpet buffet in a couple of hours.
